Recommended to us by a Jamaican friend in the area. This place is legit, he says. Having had Jamaican food only a few times in my life and mostly while visiting Jamaican, I was excited to give this place a try.

We ordered a feast, as is our fashion. We got the oxtail entree and the curried goat entree, some cocobread to soak up the sauce, a few spicy Jamaican beef patties and some sweet potato pie for dessert. To wash it all down, I also ordered the carrot juice and my, was that a delicious, refreshing drink! They must have been some other things mixed into our carrot juice because it tasted of heaven with a touch of caramel!

The entrees we ordered come with a choice of white rice or rice and beans and steamed veggies. I honestly can't tell you which of the two entrees were my favorite because they were all so so damn good and filling!! The oxtail is market priced but we paid 8 bucks and some change for a massive plate of deliciousness. The SF in me can't believe the amount of food I received for such a price! You cant even get a decent latte for that price anymore in sf, let alone a plate of stewed oxtail made out of labor and love!!

My friend recommended the cocobread to soak up the sauce leftover from the stewed meats. Highly recommend.

Everybody loves a nice hot fresh Jamaican patty....at least I have never met someone who dislikes them. Jamaicans love to debate which bakery makes the best patties and most say  the best patties are in Jamaica. Every time I bring Dad a patty, he eats it quickly as he cannot resist a hot patty but says "it taste alright" or " it is not the best patty in the world or what I am used to" even though he left Jamaica 40 years ago. Mom says these patties do not have enough filling.

I love the flakiness of the crust at Finger Licking. The crust is delicious and I really enjoyed the Spinach patty. Since the crust is so flaky the crust puffs open and makes the filling seem small but I believe it is the same quantity of filling as other patties.

I would have loved to try the beef and cheese patty. The first time we visited they ran out. On the 2nd visit I picked up a box of patties for our office and paid for 16 patties that included 2 beef with cheese. Later, I discovered there was no beef and cheese in the box. They made a mistake when putting the order together.

The restaurant is spacious and modern and the parking lot has ample parking.

Ordered a small Oxtail with rice peas and the plantains it comes with and extra gravy over the phone, when I got there I asked for the extra gravy and  the girl at the front gave me a tiny cup of gravy. When I got home I saw that they forgot my plantains. I asked to speak to a manager who's name is "Keith" all he did was say sorry. I'm not gonna drive back 20mins and waste more gas because you guys messed up my order. I paid nearly 20$ for my small meal, I am 100% sure you guys could afford to actually give me my extra gravy. I'd rather drive the extra miles to go to Dutch pot because they actually listen to me and put as much gravy as I want and the oxtail
Is like 15.99 for a Large! . Super disappointed and I doubt I actually spoke with the real manager.

If you are looking for an amazing party experience, this is your place to go. They have multiple options such as beef, spicy beef, chicken, spinach, vege, and beef and cheese. My go to is always the spicy beef and I lovingly place it inside a warm fresh piece of coco bread.  The curry goat with rice and peas is always delicious....trust me when I say their small portion is still pretty large. The curry chicken my friend had was a bit bland so she asked for a side of the curry goat sauce and that helped with the flavor factor.

The space is large with plenty of seating but it always seems quite empty as customers mainly order their food and go.

We came here after my boyfriend's brother, who is a local, recommended this place to us. At first, I thought we were at the wrong place. I thought, "this isn't a Jamaican food spot. It's too big." In my experience, most Caribbean restaurants are small and are carryouts. Finger Lickin was huge and there was ample room to sit inside and eat.

We had friendly and fast service. Our food only took about 10 min. The portions are generous for the price also. The two of us shared a Jerk chicken platter with rice and peas, plantains, and cabbage and carrot mix. I also got a beef patty. Everything was delicious! No complaints. Some of the best Jamaican food I've had in a while.
